Caesars Entertainment UK grows its celebrity restaurant portfolio

Caesars Entertainment UK has signed celebrity chef Tony Singh to head up its new restaurant Tasty, situated within at ALEA Glasgow on the banks of the river Clyde

Opening its doors early in 2016, Tasty by Tony Singh, will be the casino operator’s third celebrity offering, following Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse at Alea Nottingham and James Martin at Manchester235 which recently featured in the Sunday Times Best 100 Restaurants List.

Famed for mashing up the best Scottish produce with foods from around the world – like his legendary ‘haggis pakkora’ - Scotland born Tony Singh is one of the UK’s most innovative and charismatic celebrity chefs and has featured in a number of popular TV cookery shows including BBC2’s Great British Menu and The Incredible Spice Men.  The partnership with such a local culinary hero has been formed to showcase ALEA Glasgow’s commitment to providing customers with the very best in entertainment and gastronomy.

From street food to fine dining, Singh the ‘culinary crusader’ has enjoyed mastering them all. Driven by an infectious passion to celebrate and explore his beloved Scottish and Asian roots, he has ripped up the culinary rulebook and redefined cultural cuisine in the process.

A member of the country's leading bodies including the Academy of Culinary Arts and Master Chefs of Great Britain, Singh’s reputation in cookery circles is set to widen the casino’s Client portfolio by enticing new food lovers looking for a unique and memorable food experience in the Glasgow area.

Rob Wear, Food and Beverage Director at Caesars Entertainment UK says, “Caesars Entertainment UK is committed to providing all customers with a superior food offering and our restaurants are a world apart from what’s available at other casinos.  We pride ourselves on our top calibre, award winning chefs who prepare freshly made meals for our customers. Much like Caesars Entertainment in Vegas who attract the best celebrity stars, CEUK is lucky to have celebrity chefs taking residency within its UK casinos.”

Singh says of his new restaurant Tasty:  “It’s a huge honour to follow in the footsteps of Marco Pierre White and James Martin by partnering with such a big casino name here in the UK. Tasty will offer ALEA Glasgow’s customers an unforgettable and playful culinary experience that will complement the buzz and the excitement already available on the casino floor. I like Casinos, I’ve got a high risk personality, so I like to do adventurous things.”

Paul Rety, Venue Director at ALEA Glasgow says, “Caesars Entertainment UK spends considerable time and effort seeking out exciting partnerships that help define a superior customer service proposition. It is this focus and commitment to provide our clients with an exceptional experience which sets us apart from the competition.

We’re thrilled to be welcoming Tony and his team into our ALEA family. We’re always looking for unique ways to excite our customers, and Tasty promises to do just that. Tony’s artistic style and love of experimental cooking is the perfect partner to our gaming offer.”

Singh concludes, “Scotland is blessed with the best larder in the world. Introducing different cultural influences to cooking is great, but I strongly believe that you need to use local produce as much as you can.”

Visit Scotland recently named Tony as one of the chosen few "Real Scots" and he is now an ambassador for Scotland and all things Scottish. He has the responsibility of promoting Scotland and its delicacies globally.
