Grosvenor Casinos is pleased to announce Bong Ali, dealer at Grosvenor Victoria Casino and Joe White, dealer at Grosvenor Casino Manchester Soames as “Dealer Skills Champions 2013” in recognition of their dealer expertise, skill and flair.
The pair battled it out against 1,000 contestants, a record amount of entries to date to win their accolades. Bong and Joe both won cash prizes at the final which was held at the Grosvenor G Casino Coventry along with a surprise bonus prize for the two to travel to Riga for a two-night stay visiting Grosvenor Casinos’ live casino studio.
Bong won in the “Over Two Years” dealer experience category and Joe was the winner of the “Under Two Years” dealer experience category. Tanya North Croft and Paul Harrison, both from Grosvenor G Casino Walsall, were runners up in the Under and Over Two Years categories respectively.
The Grosvenor Casinos “Dealer Skills Championship” involves a nationwide search across the Grosvenor Casinos group to find the best dealers out of the 2,300 it employs. The competition is held in a number of heats challenging dealers on different skills including chip work, dexterity, float management, timed bet calculations, customer service and, most importantly, demonstrating understanding of the various casino games on offer.
Bong and Joe were announced as the winners after impressing the judging panel of external gaming experts including Jeff Kimber, Grosvenor Casinos’ ‘Sponsored Poker Pro’, Peter White, Publisher of Casino Life & Lewis Pek, Editor of G3.
