Manila gaming temporarily suspended their operations due to pandemic

A number of gaming venues in Metro Manila have temporarily suspended their operations until at least April 4, due to the introduction of stricter restrictions as a countermeasure to the spread of Covid-19. Metro Manila is home to the Entertainment City zone of large-scale private-sector Philippine casino resorts.

PokerStars postpones Players No Limit Hold'em Championship 2021

The PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold'em Championship (PSPC) will remain on ice until at least the end of the year, the company announced in a Wednesday press release.

"We feel we cannot guarantee the safety of our players and our staff," explained PokerStars' Severin Rasset in a video accompanying the presser. "Of course, it's our responsibility to make sure that we can operate in the optimal conditions."

Gamesys Group Plc agrees to takeover by Bally's

Bally’s Corp. has reached an agreement in principle to buy U.K. online gaming and gambling platform Gamesys Group Plc in a deal valued at 2.02 billion pounds ($2.7 billion) in the latest move by a U.S. casino operator to expand into digital betting.

Bally’s will pay 1,850 pence per share in cash for the company, it said in a statement on Wednesday. That’s a 13% premium from Gamesys
