Mexico City / Madrid, July 14, 2022. Codere Online, a leading multinational in the online gaming sector in Spain and Latin America, goes one step further in its support of women's football and donates $300,000 of the proceeds from bets on this sport to the NGO 'She Wins' to support its work of empowering women through sports and education.
The check delivery ceremony took place on July 8 at the Hipodromo de las Américas in Mexico City, operated by Codere, and was attended by Claudia Angélica Pacheco López, Coordinator of Social Networks for Codere Online in Mexico; Leticia Palacios, Operations Director of Codere Online in Mexico; Cecilia Vales, General Director of She Wins, and professional soccer player Nailea Vidrio.
For Codere, this milestone represents another step in its commitment to women, in this case, promoting their development through sport. The company is very proud to collaborate with She Wins and to be able to add its efforts to the social, personal and professional development of women in Mexico and Latin America.
For its part, from She Wins they point out the importance of large companies such as Codere supporting their work "to achieve gender equality and reinforce the empowerment of women from sports and education".
Committed to women's sport
This milestone is part of the company's Social Responsibility actions linked to the "#CodereConEllas" campaign that promotes a series of digital meetings with professional soccer women (players, technicians or administrators, etc.) who share their experience in this tough sport, the challenges and difficulties they faced to make a place for themselves in it, and their expectations for the future. In the videos we can also see the protagonists demonstrating their skill with the ball (participating in the #RetoCodere). An interesting and inspiring proposal of approach and recognition of Codere to women's soccer.
The campaign kicks off with the profile of Desirée Monsiváis, striker for “Rayadas” and top scorer in the Liga MX Femenil. To her are added the testimonies of her colleagues Kenti Robles (defender for Real Madrid C.F. and player for the Mexican national team.), Tatiana Briseño (sports manager of Club Pachuca Femenil, Mexico) and Nailea Vidrio (midfielder of Club Cruz Azul).
It also has the special participation of Maite Oroz, Olga Carmona, Athenea Castillo and Claudia Zornoza, Real Madrid C.F. feminine.
For Claudia Angélica Pacheco López, Coordinator of Social Networks for Codere Online in Mexico, “it is very gratifying to be able to connect our social objective with our Real Madrid C.F. in Latin America, or the Monterrey Rayados Soccer Club. With them, we share values of responsibility and the satisfaction of giving the best of ourselves for our people. Together, we now do our bit so that many women achieve their dream of turning soccer into the best bet of their lives”.
