Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia), the premier event for the gaming and entertainment industry in Asia, will return to Macau to celebrate its 15th Anniversary.
The event will be held from June 4-6, 2024, at the Venetian Macao, offering an invaluable platform for driving business diversification and gaining expert insights into Macau’s latest economic development. Held in conjunction with the Asian IR Expo, the events will attract more than 8,000 trade visitors from across the gaming, integrated resorts, and entertainment sectors.
Inspired by the industry’s focus on technology, G2E Asia and Asian IR Expo is introducing a dedicated Technology Zone and Tech Talk Forum in the exhibition hall. Asian IR Expo is also introducing a dedicated Sports and Entertainment Zone in the expo hall. Besides the expos, the event will also feature two concurrent conferences. The Asian IR Summit will cover themes including Integrated Resort Focus, Art and Entertainment (co-organised with ArtBiz Asia), and Sports and Entertainment. The whole summit aims to unlock hospitality's potential, and seize emerging opportunities in this era of innovation and convergence. Additionally, the G2E Asia conference will further enhance this year’s show offerings through three days of focused and thought-provoking sessions, including “Asia Gaming Market Forum”, “Strategy Around Technology and Innovations for Gaming”, and “Responsible Gaming”. Industry experts will be present to share their in-depth perspectives while discussing future trends.
The first day of the G2E Asia conference will focus on the Asian gaming market, with a particular emphasis on Macao, as well as the Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets. The second day will revolve around the technology and innovation blueprint of the entertainment industry, discussing topics such as the use of technology in casino development and cybersecurity, with artificial intelligence being a prominent trend. The Responsible Gaming Forum will return to discuss social responsibility and promote the healthy development of the gaming industry. On the third day, Mr. Alejandro Tengco, Chairman and CEO of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), will deliver a keynote speech.
The theme of the first day of the Asia IR Summit is "Focusing on the Integrated Resort and Leisure Industry," which will provide a wealth of information on the latest trends in the tourism industry. Keynote speakers include Mr. Bill Miller, President and CEO of the American Gaming Association, and Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office. She will also participate in a panel discussion with Mr. Albert Yip, Director General of the Sanya Tourism Board, Mr. Fred Sheu, National Technology Officer of Microsoft Hong Kong, and Ms. Fian Leung, representative of Ctrip Group (Hong Kong and Macao), to explore the changing trends in the Asian tourism industry. The day will also feature discussions on hot topics such as sustainable tourism and ESG practices in the hotel industry, and the application of artificial intelligence in integrated resorts.
The theme of the second day is "Art and Entertainment," held in collaboration with ArtBiz. Keynote speakers include Ms. Leong Wai Man, President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macao SAR Government, and representatives from Macao integrated resorts, who will share insights on the development of art in the hotel industry and its growing presence in the fashion world. The event will feature presentations from various renowned cultural and art projects, including Artelli, M+, Central Academy of Fine Arts, and multiple Macao integrated resorts, where project leaders and managers will share their experiences. ArtBiz aims to encourage communication and exchange between industry professionals and decision-makers in Asian integrated resorts, bringing new sparks to the art and entertainment scene in integrated resorts.
The third day's program will be even more diverse and vibrant, focusing on the themes of "Sports" and "Entertainment," exploring the unlimited potential and strategies of sports tourism, as well as the strategies and future trends of entertainment events in Macao. In the sports sector, speakers from prominent enterprises such as WCGC, the Hong Kong Rugby Union, the Beijing Olympic Culture Promotion Association, and IMG will share their experiences in sports tourism, redefining the sports and entertainment industry. The afternoon session of the third day will feature various stakeholders participating in the discussion on entertainment events, including Complexcon China, TVB Hong Kong, Sands China, and Melco Resorts & Entertainment, exploring the future development of entertainment events in Macao.
