Battle of the bets revolves around one core mechanic… picking a side. Every day Hard Rock Bet will roll out two opposing bets and place them in the lobby. It could be anything, including moneylines, spread bets, over/unders, or even SGPs, or a combination of bet types. For example, today there are two parlays on offer. You can could take the underdogs or the favorites side:
Wager just $1+ on the side you like best and if the bet wins, you win. We’ll divide the minimum $250,000 prize pool up amongst every bettor who took the winning side. So if 10,000 players bet the winning side, they’d each get a $25 Bonus Bet. If 50,000 players bet the winning side, that’s a $5 Bonus Bet. If 100,000 players bet the winning side, well, we’re rounding up to the minimum $5 Bonus Bet.
Escalating prize pools
The way that Battle of the Bets is structured there will be days where neither side wins. Whenever that happens we’ll simply add money to the prize pool and run it back the next day. If it doesn’t hit on a weekday? We’ll add $10,000. If it doesn’t hit on a weekend? We’ll add $100,000. The total prize pool will increase day after day until it eventually hits and the victors share the spoils.
Then we reset it to $250K and do it again.
