Elk Grove, Calif. — Sky River Casino and 10 participating local charities gathered on November 19 to kick-off the 3rd Annual Wreaths of Hope, an annual holiday program designed to celebrate the season while supporting charitable partners in the Elk Grove and Sacramento County community.
That morning, the 10 nonprofits each dropped off their creatively decorated wreaths that will go on display throughout Sky River beginning December 1 so guests can vote for their favorites. As part of the program, Sky River Casino will donate a total of $15,000 to support local charities.
Each organization will receive $1,000 for participating with the first-place wreath winner getting an additional $2,500, second place an additional $1,500, and third place an additional $1,000.
The 10 charities participating in the festive and fun 3rd Annual Wreaths of Hope include the following: ARI Community Services, Chicks in Crisis, Cosumnes Firefighters Community Support Foundation, Elk Grove Food Bank, End of Watch Fund, Paws for a Purpose, Project R.I.D.E., Runnin’ with Rhett, Senior Center of Elk Grove and Wilton Animal Rescue.
