Monday 20 July: Adult gaming and entertainment will soon return to towns and cities across the country, after Grosvenor Casinos today announced it is preparing to reopen its venues from Saturday 1 August.
In accordance with the current Government guidelines, 44 venues across the country will welcome back friends and family to enjoy the fun and excitement of going to the casino for the first time since Grosvenor Casinos temporarily closed its venues due to lockdown restrictions in March.
Grosvenor Casino venues in England are planning on opening their doors from Saturday 1 August. A date for venues to open in Wales and Scotland will be confirmed soon.
Grosvenor Casinos has been working hard to put enhanced safety and cleaning measures in place at all of its venues ready to welcome back its customers and team members to create a fun gaming and hospitality experience such as poker, enjoying food and drink and watching live sport.
Jonathon Swaine, Managing Director at Grosvenor Casinos, said: “The health and safety of our customers and team remains our priority. We want to create the best gaming and hospitality experience which guests know and love and a lot of work has gone into ensuring we have the highest standards of hygiene and safety measures in place to do so when we reopen. We’re looking forward to welcoming customers back to Grosvenor Casino clubs across the country very soon.”
Former Unified World Cruiserweight and WBA World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, David Haye, features in a new customer journey video highlighting some of the enhanced cleaning and social distancing measures which will be introduced when Grosvenor Casinos venues return.
Upon entering the casino, customers will be expected to use hand sanitiser which will be readily available at dispensers, whilst enhanced cleaning will take place throughout each day, including tables, chips and machines.
To create a fun experience in the safest way possible, each casino will make screens available at all its gaming tables and in between electronic machines. There will also be restrictions on the number of people who can play games at any one time.
Grosvenor Casinos will continue to accept cash and is encouraging customers to use contactless payment where possible. There will be safety shields at all tills to protect both team members and customers, and face masks will be offered as an option to wear.
Guests will still be able to enjoy food and drink with dining seating appropriately spaced out and can be pre-ordered at their table or from their machine, either using the online app, or by placing an order with the valet service using the disposable one-use table menus.
