China’s Crackdown Leaves the World’s Biggest Gaming Hub on the Brink

The licenses of Macau’s six operators expire in June, two decades after the Chinese city opened its gaming industry to foreign investment. That’s creating the possibility that new players may enter the market in 2022 and other operators could lose their place at the table.

AGEM announces results of officers elections

Las Vegas 12th January 2022 -- LAS VEGAS – The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) announced today that its Board of the Directors has elected a new slate of officers under the leadership of AGEM President David Lucchese, Executive Vice President - Sales, Marketing & Digital for Everi. Lucchese’s position as President was not up for election as he transitions into the second year of a 2-year term, but 1- year terms were approved for:

Birgitte Sand, former Head of the Danish Gambling Authority, confirmed as ICE London Ambassador

Birgitte Sand, a senior advisor in gambling regulation and most recently head of the Danish Gambling Authority (DGA) where she was responsible for the consolidation of the DGA’s licensing regime, has become the latest high profile thought-leader to accept an invitation to become an Ambassador for ICE London (12 – 14 April, ExCeL London).
